T.E.A. Parties - Page 32

No kidding.

Neither of the parties are standing up for individual freedoms. THAT is what the tea party was about.

I don't expect this video to be up for long....

I hadn't. To be honest, it's sad. I used to like her. She is very funny and I think she is probably trying to be funny, but it really isn't. My word that was offensive. I don't even know what to write. WOW! That was offensive. I don't think I have ever been dismissed in that way before. Wow, that is actually, surprisingly hurtful.

Well, we've really lost a lot. It is hard to grasp sometimes the world we live in. I don't think my grandparents would have ever guessed that these views would be this hated. And for the record, I really do know what the tea party was about, and I know about the East Indian Trading company and the deals cut in parliament and why the colonists were mad and no taxation without representation and the whole thing. I am not a racist and have worked hard to raise children that understand racism and it's dangers and so fourth. And I ran my own business for years. I hate taxes and have never voted for one, and probably, never will. I think our government is out of control and unless we get control of it, we will bankrupt this nation just like Iceland did and Germany was in danger of just 4 years ago.

All right, I'm done. Sorry, I was just shocked.

That was rather a lot of broad brushing. There was a lo of truth in what she said but it certainly didn't apply to everybody. If she wanted to make those comments she should have stated that she wasn't talking about everyone. Some of the signage shown proves that it did apply to some. Especially the racism aspect

To all those who will read what I just said and say hes calling us all racist. Please reread the words.

You are agreeing with someone who absolutely did say we who believe in the TEA party movement are racists.  Listen to what she said.  I have found the most hate and vitriol flows from the likes of people like Jeanine Turner, they use the broadest brushes - I have no respect for her whatsoever.

Are you actually saying, with a straight face, that the 'main stream media' is worth listening to as an unbiased source?  Really?  Please do yourself a favor and branch out from what I call the lamestream media - cover all of the bases, because you are truly getting only one quarter of one side of the story if that's all you listen to.  From all sides, both the left and the right.

Wanna run in 2012?  cool

I share space with 1 daughter, 1 very tolerant man (Himself), and an assortment of swans, quail, peafowl, turkeys, guineas, ducks, geese, and (of course) various and copious chickens and I might as well mention there are sheep, goats, horses. rabbits, cats, dogs, a mule & a snake around the place as well.

The military does a pretty good job of getting the crazies out. Sorry, don't think you'll find any gang bangers going in to learn how to kill better. They teach discipline and how to take orders. They teach you how to fire an M-16 or whatever the current individual weapon is along with how to use any crew serviced weapons. They skim the basics on hand to hand combat. The military is a completely different life than what civilians have. It's like being in a different world. It is a commitment and gang bangers aren't going to do it unless they are trying to clean up their act. There's no guarantee you're going to get to kill people. The military would never voluntarily shoot anybody that is unarmed. They of course have collateral damage which is unavoidable in a situation where civilians are interspersed with the combatants.

If they ever used the military against civilians it would be tear gas only, unless a wacko started shooting at them. Kent State was a bunch of lightly trained weekend warriors. The National Guard is now very highly trained because of their experience in Iraq. When I was in the Army we called them Nasty Girls. I'm sure they get a lot more respect from regular Army now.

But what does this say to all of us US citizens when our government would even think to ask that of anyone in the first place?

Now that is offensive. I am a veteran and the Army never made us sign an oath like that. As a matter of fact you are trained to never obey an order such as that. Please don't post flat out lies like that. If your cousin really told you that you should probably reconsider everything he's ever told you.

Actually it was a commissioned survey of the troops done under Clinton to survey to find out if they would follow orders to fire upon US Citizens. They may be resurfacing of that sentiment within the new administration, as training focus is being shifted to martial law and civilian unrest. Having Homeland Security list almost half of the population as terrorists or extremists. Joe Biden has already made references that marshal law will be imposed in their administration.

Actually, I didn't get that one from any of the media news outlets - I believe it was a documentary on either History Channel or Discovery (might have been A&E) - I'll try to find a link to whichever it was.

I'm agreeing that some of what she says does apply to some of the people that were there. I by no means feel that the majority fit what she was saying. Broad brushing is always dangerous and unfair. There is too much broad brushing in the media from both sides. The media is mostly responsible for the split in this country. If the red and blue states were split east and west or north and south like they were during the civil war we would probably have 2 separate countries.

do doo do doo do do doo doo, You are now entering a episode of the twilight zone.

The gang bangers in the military has long been confirmed. And those gangs are very disciplined within probably much more so than the military.  One of the reasons for the Posse Comitatus Act, incursions, where the military did fire upon US citizens. All military are educated on the Act, but lately it seems to be ignored.

I don't think being a Republican makes you an extremist in anybodys mind but your own. It is rather dashing though.
