seem like a good breed, if i had the room i would probably raise a batch of them they seem like they would be a good 4h starter show bird...considering i dont see many of this breed in my class...

I'd like to raise 5 turkeys as meat birds but everyone is sold out until
spring. I'll try to hatch them if I have to.

Turkeys are seasonal layers unless you can find someone who rasies them with artificial light. The odds are you won't find any eggs until spring either.
