How Is Cackle Hatchery

My Cackle chicks will be 4 weeks old on Monday. Everything went smoothly. I placed the order online, received an e-mail confirmation a week later giving a ship date in three weeks. They shipped on Monday and arrived on Wednesday. I ordered 7 BO, 5 BR and 6 PR. They sent an extra BR. All 18 are alive and healthy and so far they are feathering out with plumage that looks true to breed. I don't have any recent pictures of them but you can see their baby pics here:

I'll definitely order from them again.

Just got my second order this year from cackle. Very very happy. I got extras of every breed I ordered and only had two chicks lost in shipping. I was looking forward to a pair of African Geese, but they had a bad hatch this last time so there won't be anymore til next year. I knew I was cutting it close for the goose deadline when I ordered so I'm not terribly hurt by it. I called cackle this morning after I got every one settled and they were - as usual - helpful and friendly. I will have a credit back to my account shortly for the geese.

I will definitely order from them again. My first order of chicks are about 2 months old and doing well. They only thing I would complain about is the mislabeling of my polish chicks. I'm still fairly new to this and so I didn't realize that my "blue" polish were actually splash til I got more blues and splash today.

Regardless, I am super happy with the health and growth of my chicks.

I have purchased from them twice. The first time, I was in Lebanon, MO and bought 4 buff orpintons in the store front. The second time, I received 15 chicks through the mail.

I have never lost a Cackle Hatchery chick to natural causes, although my dog has killed one. The chicks were all healthy. They did not ship when they were supposed to, but when they finally did, I was very happy. Everyone arrived healthy and happy. No chicks died in transport and none have died in the 2 weeks since (I sold one of the new chicks to someone so I can't vouch for that one, but the other 14 are thriving).

I ordered from them also and they shipped on time but when I picked up from the PO some of the chicks were not alive. I called and they shipped another shipment and all arrived alive and safe. That was just last week and all are doing very well.

I would definitely order from them again. I found the best time to call them is in the afternoon. You cannot get through to them in the morning.

Hey there.

I've ordered from Cackle twice (for standard layers & some turkeys), and have been happy with them both times. A real nice batch of chicks especially this year---very healthy and friendly too. I would order from them again.

Take Care,
Bill.
