If you go back to page 300 of this thread you might get somewhat of an idea of why/how this topic got kind a little warm a while back. It is a little hard to follow as a lot of the responses were removed, or modified somewhat.  I wish you could have read my original unpasteurized responses, much more clear, and to the point.

Now to eliminate any confusion as to me. My real life name is Gary Imwalle, life long resident of the great state of Ohio (Go Bucks). I am 51 years old, 6' 4"  300+ lbs. This is a picture taken after a recent black powder shoot. Not responsible for any damage to monitors as a result of posting this.

@ejb3810, I'm very sorry if I come off the wrong way? I don't know Dan personally like yourself I was just going by what I have been told. Which I guees was wrong? But I was also going by an Article by (Dan Powell) on backyardpoultrymag.com that said he has been Breeding Poultry for over 30 years so I wasn't sure how he could be 40? Unless he started at age 10? Maybe

@Big Medicine, You look just like my Unce Terry! Good lookin Dude. I also have that same Hawkins Muzzle Loader passed down from my wifes father I love it. Also I have to ask whats up with the Bacon? just wondering cool pic tho. Thanks for all the info on the Brahma's it's good to know these things!

 Me, too - I'd even go to that shoot (but probably couldn't hit the broad side of a barn).

The bacon was for hitting a piece of chalk hanging on a string, there are also some frozen chickens for hitting a chicken egg hanging from a string, out to 50 yards, off hand. Should have been considerable more, considering the powder I burnt.

Chickenhawk if you have read up on the link I posted, I would appreciate you going back and editing your earlier posts (3387).

I would like to keep the history of these birds unmuddied.

As to your birds, better type and lacing than most I have seen on here. Your male could stand to be laced farther down onto his belly, but over all not too bad.  If it was me, I would hatch as many chicks as I could, try to get a cockerel or two with a little stronger lacing and build up my breeding flock before I would worry about selling eggs.

Thanks for you honesty I really appreciate it. I will go back and edit the posting for sure as far as building up a flock? I would love to but I'm very limited to space right now as were renting and havn't bought a home yet! So I only have the pair of Brahma's and a trio of BLRW. I do hope to able to build up a big flock one day!

               I just wanted to say Hi, I have been lurking on this thread for some time now. I am a first time Chicken owner, so I have been reading through the threads trying to learn as much as I can. I have to say that this thread and the Cochin thread have been the most informational. You guys are so willing to share your knowledge to all of us and give so much of your time to give everyone a great gift that can easily be taken for granted. I appreciate it very much and thank you! I have drooled over your birds for awhile now they are all just beautiful!
