The coloring is wrong to be a rooster isn't it.  I am not quite as good with the dark brahmas but if I had to pick one way or another, I'd go pullet.

Yes, the coloring is wrong for a rooster.  If it was a roo, the chest feathers should start showing solid black.
Only thing messing me up is the feathering or lack of, on the back and wing bows.
Still going with pullet.

I see what you are saying gritsar.  The lack of feathering and the shape of the feathering usually suggests roo.  She is also very stout in appearence which also denotes roo.  However, my light brahma hen is a very stout bird, and she is much broader then my other pullets, but is very much a pullet herself. Brahmas are just stout and broad birds.  Yes, if you will post another pic in about a week we can probably go ahead and call it 100%.

My dark brahma boys are much more mottled black already and I think they're a week younger than your girl.  The two are very very different side by side, I have three pullets and two boys.  Yours looks exactly like my girls - just snotty and upright LOL.

Perhaps she's just spoiled cuz she looks like one of those beautiful blonde high school girls with the stuffed bras and attitudes <chuckle>
