sound-proofing - experience with rooster box? (see bottom pg 2)

I'm going to try something like what has been mentioned here. I have too many roosters, and love them all, two are our show birds. I'm an early riser, but DH is not, and I'm not too sure that my neighbors are liking what time my "alarm cocks" are going off. If I could keep them quiet until 7:30 or 8:00am, then I think everyone could be happy. My roos are just banties, so I don't think a rooster box would be too hard to make. I'll post my project ideas here when I get started!

My neighboor complained about our rooster crowing at 4 am so we took action. Every evening when they go to roost, I go in the coop, grab the rooster, and put him in a small carry kennel designed for a small dog or cat. Then, I bring him up by the house and cover him with an old sleeping bag under a shed. He barely crows in there and it is greately muffled. So, happy neighboor.
But the rooster is getting ticked off. But I want to keep him because, contrary to conventional wisdom, I have noticed I do get more and bigger eggs with a rooster servicing my hens. And this boy is very romantic!
But I am definetly looking into building a new coop with sound proofing for him to stay in. The ventilation issue can be done by creating a baffle of sound proofing that the air can flow around, but the sound waves will strike and reflect back towards other soundproofing. Basically, ya want the sound waves to reflect and scatter off of as many surfaces as possible in the room while being absorbed by sound proffing each reflection.

Well I don't see the reason behind having a sound proof coop if its for night time only. Seeing as how roosters sleep at night and crow during the daylight hours.
listen here man if you have ever had 4 roos at one you will know what it is like to wake up at 2am in the morning having to dash out in the freezing cold poring rain to get all 4 of them in there boxes
that are 4 meters apart #its horrible

i have a roo he is actully pretty lazy for a large roo (LOVE HIM) ummm his box is going to be put in a almost sound proof container and he is fluffy but he can be quite annoying sometimes (
