sexing salmon faverolles--still confused (update)

Do you know if they have white Faverolles? When I get home I will take pictures of my 2 and 3 week old salmon Faverolles so you can see the difference.

Thanks! Idk if she had whites. My babies have all different colors coming in. Some dark some brown and blue ... and some white lol

Pretty straight forward. With the exception of the large black cockerel, these chicks are all either 2 or 3 weeks old. The tan and black ones are 3 weeks. The mostly yellow ones with colored wings and some tails are 2 weeks.

Recessive white is more of a surprise thing. I had a bantam black Faverolles pair that produced recessive whites. Unfortunately all the pullets had blue legs. This grey chick was one that hatched from that pair.

And he matured into this

As for splash salmon, the cockerels I had began feathering out white. But there is no way you could have splash salmons with a salmon male. You can only get one by a blue salmon x blue salmon, blue salmon x splash salmon, or breeding 2 splash salmons.

This is an example of a male we had

And a splash pullet

Salmon, blue salmon and splash salmon pullets/hens will all look alike. The difference will be in the underfluff, wing and tail feathers. Salmons will have dark grey, blue salmons will have a lighter blue grey and splash salmons will have white. It can be very difficult to distinguish between salmon and blue salmon females.

Cockerels can take forever to feather out, so don't worry about that. I do feed 22% crumbles to mine.

I'm thinking the darker one looking up is a rooster as it has more black than the rest that are more brown. They are about 2.5 weeks now. Beautiful bird's! Mine are so jumpy, i handle them every day, at least twice a day but they fly & jump around more than any breed I've dealt with lol (have buffs, rir, barred rock, & silkie)

Sorry, the darker one isn't looking up :p

That young, the girls can have black feathers on their wings too. My hens have some black at the tip of their wings. Two weeks is about right to really tell. In my last hatch, I thought I had all roos, because of the wings, but I got 4 hens! I guess I didn't pay attention before!LOL
This post literally just saved my life. I hatched four salmon faverolles and I am getting into showing them and they all came out with black feathers- I thought they were all males!

was this for sure a female? i have the same ones and they 3 look exactly like your oic but sometimes im just confused because they sure do act like roo's when they go at each other is that normal for the girls to?

sporttees, i'm not sure your chick is a faverolle because favs don't have yellow feet they have more of a pink colored feet. also the color is a little to dark even to be mahogony.

here's a mahogony hen

Here's a close up of her feet you can see they're not the same color as your chicks feet (yeah i know her one foot is messed up but it doesn't stop her)

Hope this helps. Wish i could tell you what you have. Also do you know where your TSC ordered the chicks from? that would help to narrow it down.
I've got a Salmon Favorelles pullet that has two "wonky" feet - the inner toes are curled up - it doesn't slow her down, either - or keep her from perching.
Do you know if toe issues like this are common in this breed?
