West Virginia anyone?

We have a TSC Swap at Lewisburg tomorrow, and they're supposed to have chicks in the store - bet you could fix that 'chickenless' problem pretty quickly!

I did go to TSC swap that Saturday. Didn't see a lot of chickens, lots of rabbits though! No chicks in store, sold out as usual. I did order some from Mt. Healthy hatchery. They will be here the week of the 24th,..can't wait!

Yes, apparently hens aren't convinced it's spring yet! A lot of people said they were barely getting enough eggs to eat, hatching had to wait. Can't blame them - my own first (chick) hatch isn't coming out until Monday. Turkeys a week later - woo hoo!

Fayette county. I'm wanting to add 8 Rhode Island Red or Sexlink hens, four months up to a year old to my flock. If anyone knows where I might find some free or reasonably priced in the Fayette County area, please let me know. I currently have a 2 Silkies (black, white), 4 white Showgirls, Bantam Cochin/Silkie and a RRI/Silkie hens plus 3 Silkie roosters (2 white, 1 partridge). All mine are just over a year old. I'd consider older chicks only if they're sexed.
