Here's a couple (one hen, one rooster) I hatched out last year from my Rhode Island Red rooster and a friend's Black Australorp hen.   I thought they were sharp looking.   They were staying at his house.   Now get this.   He didn't think they were that pretty and when a guy came by to buy a goat from him he sold him these two chickens as well.   For $14 each.   Guess how much of that money I got?   Ended that partnership real quick!

I have 8 RIRs. One roo, and I got 4 Black australorp pullets too.

I was thinking about hatching the BA eggs next spring to see what they get. Now I am planning on it. They look Gorgeous!!!

What breed is that little hen on the ground next to the big roo?

Our local pet shop sells this breed of chicken for egg layers. We just got 2 chicks. They are lovely so far at 3 weeks. Loveable. Cant wait till they start filling out and getting proper feathers etc.
