swollen face...?

my broodt partridge rock just got out of being broodt and hatched 9 chicks. and i just realized half of her face is swollen, and gets super red when i get near her or when she gets mad and starts to puff up. can anyone help on what i can do? or what is it and how she might of gotten it?

IDK myself.  Hopefully someone can help.

Mommy to a 8 yr. old girl, 4 yr. old boy, one fat cat,  one dinky dog, polish, buttercups, hamburgs, waydonettes, and cochins, 10 silkies, a sizzle, Barred Rock and 2 d'uccles.
Need a chicken,duck, goose, parrot diaper or chicken saddle?  I also make harnesses for leashes.  Check in the Everything else for sale. Lovemychix.

Could be her eye....sounds like some kind of infection...you'll have to get close enough to her to really look and see if there is an injury to the face or eye....neosporin if there is an open wound..the kind with NO painkiller....If it looks like an eye infection, you'll have to do a search for eye infection I don't know mucsh about that.  Let us know...   fl

nope she's normal just her face is alittle swollen. and red when she gets mad with me and the other hens.

Could be anything, parasite, peck from another chicken, I even read here where someone's chicken had a swollen face from a pellet gun attack!  Is she eating? How's her poop?  I would thoroughly clean the face..she won't like that...and put neosporin all over it..non painkiller kind....and keep her away from other hens, they may peck at her
