how to make a cement bird bath out of a leaf :) pic heavy

My hubby accidentally broke our birdbath last week. I love this idea. Now I gotta see if I can sell it to him. What I have trouble with is adding a second tier to it. I think pvc pipe filled with cement should work. What are your thoughts.
 
Hello: Love your birdbath! Would love to try one, however can you please tell me what type of cement was used? Is it quick dry, sanded or non. Their are all different types.

My son broke my birdbath last week while playing kickball and I am completely brokenhearted. I would like to replace it with your lovely design.

My husband works construction and does a lot of cement stuff. He would suggest using Fiber Mesh for added strength. Your mixture will probably require a bit more water (added very slowly) to make sure the fibers lay down smooth. Google it and see if it could help your projects - it did mine!!

Oh, another thought if it wasn't mentioned already ~ a giant rhubarb leaf is full of veins and character !!
