Can chicks get angel wing?

I am a bit concerned over my little showgirl just because her wing looks like what I have heard about ducks getting "angel wing".
I dont know her origins,  I dont THINK she has a frizzle in her background, but its possible.  What worries me is that one wing is this way and the other not.
I am going to order Avia Charge 2000, is there anything else I should do for her.  She is 3 weeks old here. One wing does this, the other not.  Really hard to get good pics showing it, she just doesnt want to stand still and when she does, it doesnt show that well on camera.  Will do the best I can tho, whats the opinions out there?  Thanks
Jill

It is hard to tell from the pictures but hopefully someone who has delt with this problem can help out more. I've had young chicks with saggy wing tips but once they got older, they got stronger and now look just like the rest.

Yes, I know and unfortunately I dont think I could get any better pics of it.  Thank you silkie.

These tips flip UP, like a sizzle would, only its just the ONE wing that does that.  I guess since she will never fly it shouldnt matter much, I just want to make sure she is not deficient in nutrition.  smile
Thanks
Jill

I don't think it should matter, she/he's quite cute. smile Maybe he/she does have frizzle...at least half wink.

OH I get it! It's just the feathers and not the actual wing tip! Right? Well... if it's just feathers, I bet it's genetics of being a mix!

Yea its just the feathers I do believe.  But its funny, it doesnt have curly wing tip feathers on the OTHER wing.  Since I have never seen angel wing except in pics, I was a bit worried.
Thanks for the comments all, look at the pics I just posted Disco Lily and the showgirl.  They are better pics.  smile

I have only seen the problem referred to as "helicopter" feathering in chickens... see thsi article:

...seeing this is a frizzle I wonder if there perhaps is a genetic issue if not the above?

thndrdancr:  I have a chick doing the same thing, but on both wings.  The end of the feathers curl up at the end.  I'll post some pictures tomorrow.  I thinking a frizzle gene in there somewhere also, and I was gonna post a query on here about it.  smile  You beat me to it!

(edited to add pictures)

Well, I finally got around to getting those pictures taken, resized, and uploaded.  Here they are!

How is your baby doing?  Did the feathers straighten out or get more "frizzled"?  smile
