Too young??? -UPDATE now 6 weeks-!!!!!!!!pg.2,&3 questions

Here are some pics of my bantam cochinxwho knows what mixed breed chick at 3weeks and 4 days old chick.  I don't know if there are any experts that can tell if its a boy or girl yet, or if its too young still? Thnx, AJ

Looks to be a female to me as the comb is yellow and usually at that age its red for a male ...not sure what it was crossed with though...this is what someone told me as to how to tell what they are...I might be wrong but most of mine turned out the way I just told you...good luck

I am no expert so I am just going to say awwww how cute !! I love the little feather legs, my hubby says our cochins and brahmas always look like they are running around with thier PJ'S on LOL

My Family : 3 boxers,1 beagle mix,  , 3 ducks , 1 Black dutch rooster ,1 black dutch hen, 5 silver laced cochins, 4 light brahmas, 5 americanas, 1 buff rock, 1 quaker parrot, 1 lovebird.... and 1 hen pecked hubby  LOL

Yup, that's a boy.  Not sure what its crossed with tho.  Maybe buff cochin?

I'd vote boy, especially if that's his typical alert stance. However, three weeks is a little young for guessing (for me!), and I sometimes do better when I have others of the same age and breed for comparison, too.
