Typically, a breed that lays every day takes about 23 hours to turn around to lay an additional egg. There are rare occassions that a chicken can lay more frequently and most often the second egg is USUALLY smaller or will have no yoke. Other breeds can take much longer between each egg. The ones who seem to lay more frequently tend to be the ones bred for production like the leghorns and the sex links. Laying these eggs more frequently helps to burn them out much faster than heritage breeds.
