This is weird..as I said in another post..the honeybee issue is confusing me BC DE can also kill them so u need to avoid putting that on blooms,,same as sevin..am also confused that if it's so unsafe, then why can I buy it in a small shaker or big bag of the granules..but not a big bag of the dust..
You can look at the farad.com site for information. Carbaryl is off-limits for use in chicken houses or on chickens. Permethrin works fine and is approved, as is DE, but it's much less effective. Both products are very bad to inhale, so a N95 face mask should be worn if you are using the dust. Mary
