Is anyone going to any poultry shows in Oklahoma this fall? The upcoming ones I know of are:
The third week of October - Guthrie, OK
The fourth weekend in October - McAlester, OK
The second weekend of November - Idabel, OK
Dec. 8-9 - Shawnee, Ok


I HOPE to go to all of these, so let me know if you are going and we can meet at the show

Well, now... I didn't think about that! Silly me! The one in McAlester isn't too far from where I am either. Is it during the weekend or a week day?

I have OEG Black bantams (6 pullets, 5 roosters), 1 pair of black-tailed white japanese bantams (too cute!), standard dark cornish (5 pullets, 3 roosters), standard rhode island red (2 pullets, 1 rooster), cubalaya (2 pullets, 2 roosters), barred rocks (3 pullets, 1 rooster), dominique (1 rooster), Ancona (1 pullet, 3 roosters), Black Star (1 pullet), Black Star x OEG bantam (1 pullet) and a few others I haven't yet identified with any specific breed. I've purchased most of mine from farm and ranch stores, so they probably aren't *pure* by any means. lol

I have a mixture of chicks in brooder boxes (polish, ameracaunas, RIR, BO, silkies, and a few other bantams)
 
Oh, um, the one in McAlester is cancelled:( Sorry.
I don't know exactly how "south east" you live here in OK, but Idabel is very south east, so you might be close to it, too.
Cool, you've got a pretty neat assortment of chickens. I have a BTW Japanese little hen, too. Hey you wouldn't be thinking of selling that pair would you

Aww... well, yes... Idabel is a bit further, but probably would be worth the trip. I'm near the Antlers area.

Thanks! I loves me chickens. And the Jap pair, I want them to breed and produce babies. My Jap hen recently hatched out some chicks but they were Jap x OEG

I must thin out the OEG rooster population.... Know anyone who might want one? lol

I probably do know someone who'd want a couple of the OEGs. Are they bantams? What are you asking for them?
 
Yes they are bantam, and solid black. I believe they're a little over a year old now. If I get home early enough tonight I'll take some pictures and post them. I was wanting $5 ea for them.
 
Graceful, Where are you from? I am just east of OKC. I know they usually have some bantam shows in Newcastle this time of year. My neighbor shows bantams all over the country but I haven't talked to him in awhile. I do plan to go to the "big one" in Shawnee.

Buckguy20, I'm from Durant. There was a poultry show in Newcastle at the first of this month (I was there), but thanks. I'll probably see you at Shawnee, then.
