hello all, any advice on mixing flocks? we have some straight run red broilers and i was thinking of saving a few of the girls as layers (though they apparently are not so good for it?, they are layers none the less), but it would be easier if they were living with the actual egg laying flock of sixteen hens and two roos. we were thinking of mixing in, maybe, five of the reds with the layers.
any suggestions?
