Well, I don't seem to be able to figure out how to post pictures. I thought I was follow the directions, but I keep getting an error message. Any suggestions?

NPIP# 31-422 Bantam Cochins - Blue/Black/Splash, Birchen.
It came to me that every time I lose a dog, they take a piece of my heart with them, and every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of theirs. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."  - Cheryl Zuccaro

I posted a pic yesterday and it worked well for me. When you reply or post at the top are icons and you go to Insert Image and it will have choices, I choose from my computer, I went to the file selected it and it uploaded it to this page. I will try it again to see if it is working.P1070672.JPG Here is a pic one one of my baby cochins, so it does work.

 Here's the link to the guide on posting pictures.  Took me some time, too!

Are there any of you that sell day old chicks?

When I start my chicken project this year, I definitely want cochins. But I don't know where to find them. There's lots of hatcheries out there, but I personally don't really want to buy from hatcheries.

I don't have enough experience to buy eggs and hatch them myself.. :}

My chicken coop is now inhabited by chickens!

I think I speak for most of us when I say good breeders don't sell day old chicks. Our stock is too good to sell so cheap. My birds go for $35-$50 per bird, and you would have to buy 20 at that price to keep them warm in shipment. Plus we are not like hatcheries, we don't crank out tons of chicks at a time. You would do better to buy a few adults or started birds from a good breeder. wink.png
