
When you say blue, are you talking about the kind that is linked with splash, or the kind that has darker hackles and I see listed as blue in shows? Or, are they the same? My feeling is that the kids will be best off if what they start with in parents will pretty much show up in offspring--so black parents=black offspring, etc. Is that not the case in blue? What about mottled? I'm sure they can branch out later, but I think keeping it simple at first will be a better plan. Sorry to have so many questions! Btw, I've gone over to Cochin international and looked around. My, they have some beautiful birds! I think I'm getting a better eye for what a cochin is supposed to look like in a general way, but there are finer points about it's feet, eyes, etc that I can't seem to keep stuffed in my brain.

Splash to Blue = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
Splash to Black = 100% Blue
Splash to Splash = 100% Splash
Blue to Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
