Cochin Thread!!! - Page 887

I can't see very well, but it looks like a Black or Birchen and a Partridge. They can be feather sexed, but it can only be done at a certain very young age when the wing feathers are coming in.

I read about feather sexing and was trying to do it on my chicks that I got today but every single one of them look the same (which looks like a boy's feather sexing) so either I have 12 boys or I don't know what I'm looking at or they're not ready to be feather sexed

love.gif  Awww!  They are so much fun when they are tiny, and the fun grows right along with them.  Those are very cute babies, enjoy them!

I agree with Coopa. She has wide cushion feathers, decent eye color. nice wing carriage.  Is it my computer or does she have some white feathers on her. Can't tell about leg/foot color.

Thanks!!

Thanks to both of you!! Oh, and she has no white feathers on her. I tried getting better pictures of her but couldn't because she wouldn't stand still.

Well if I go off the pic posted on feather sexing I must have a pullet (the black) and a cockerel (the lighter one) cause the black has much larger feathers and the light one you can't hardly see them and they are the same age, about 6 days. I guess I'll see if this is really correct. :) either way I don't care they are so cute.
