My wild turkeys are now 16mos. old and doing fine. They are doing well and spoiled like every other animal we have. They get mealworms and whole wheat bread a a treat daily. Although they eat from my hand they are far from being tame.Hoppy's leg didn't heal right so thus his name,Hoppy. Baby is still quite wild but she also will take bread from my hand as long as Hoppy is not close.I still feed them medicated chick starter as the protein in higher. We didn't think Hoppy was going to make it and we had several scares but we didn't give up and he pulled through. We know the coyotes got the mother and the rest of the chicks. It was an experience raising them but it was worth it.
