Chicken eye problems?

Is there a site that has pictures of different eye problems that chickens can have?

I was outside playing with my bantam earlier, and I noticed she has a small cloudy spot ON her eyeball, in the front corner of her left eye. (towards her beak) It's about the diameter of a pencil lead, so quite small.

She has always seemed to be able to see very well, so I don't think she's blind in that eye.

This is the same eye that was watery/foamy while she was in the worst of the avian pox episode. Could that have something to do with it?

I didn't notice the spot until now - although I suppose it could have always been there, since I'm not in the habit of inspecting their eyeballs. LOL

Any ideas or links?

If the pox episode wasn't long ago, it could be a place that either ulcerated or was scratched that is healing or has scarred.

If she's doing fine, I seriously wouldn't worry about it. I would just monitor its location and size and then let us know if you see any changes.
 
Thanks for the answer! I am not worried about it at this point. She did have pox lesions all around that eye, and it's possible she scratched it. In fact I was just looking at it a few minutes ago, and noticed the surface of the eye looks like it has a very thin layer missing, right over that spot. So now I am definitely thinking she scratched it!

I wonder if that is what caused her foamy eye last week....hmmmm!

I'll keep an eye on it!

Did the cloudy spot clear up nicely? I'm having the same thing right now with one of my black australorps and a barred rock, and we also just came off an avian pox episode. The only other thing that immediately preceded the cloudy spot was about two straight days of rain. The barred rock keeps its eye shut a lot of the time because of the spot.

Any ideas would be great. Thanks.
