But if it is helping you sleep well, then keep with it! You need your rest. It finally quit raining about halfway through the game and now it is just cool and windy out there.

We lost our game 12-0. It was a very muddy mess! We played a good game, just not good enough. So, our season is officially over.

I was gonna ask you and chickenchick how much snow you got. It was actually pretty warm during the game, but that could have been caused by all my jumping up and down and yelling! It is in the 40s this morning with a strong wind, but I saw the forecast say it is going to be like upper 60s by the end of next week.

I just wish it would stay a little more consistent. There have been so many sick around here and winter hasn't even hit yet.

Michelle, we only got about an inch. Just enough to cover things and just enough for the ducks and geese to make cute footie prints in it.

What was interesting was to track their movements in the yard from the third story of the house by the foot prints going all over.

I love to see the little tracks in the snow! This will be both geese (well, Nester's first and the first we have had Chester) and the youngest duck's first winter, so I am anxious to see how they react to it! I put Frank and Gertie in a coop last year when it got cold (I'm a little protective). They were so warm and cozy in there Gertie started laying her first eggs in January and we had little Norman hatched by the first week in February! I don't really have anywhere for them this winter, so they will have to snuggle up in their little duck house!

I do feel better today. I think maybe yesterday it was just the weather. After I had the soup for lunch I was much better. Then I had to stay up late last night washing uniforms. Thank goodness we were the ones in the black jerseys and not the white ones!! However the gold pants were a challenge to get clean! When it was pouring rain and they were slopping in the mud, I just kept saying "thank goodness for covered stands and black jerseys!"

I have got to see pics of these eggs. I don't know what you all are talking about. I read your posts and think, "This is something I should be doing but I don't know what you are doing!!"

Sorry about the game, Michelle I guess you can be glad now that the season's over. Maybe next year...everyone will be well and ready to play! You can still root for the Tigers!

Chickenchick I'll have to admit, it's fun being deer camp. That is one thing I always liked about our place. I used to have to jump into a camper and travel for mile to get what I now have out my back door! Our hunting friends are jealous cause they all live in "the city!" I grind up most of our deer meat for hamburger. Do you have any good recipes you can share????

Good Morning Terrie How are you on this wonderful Friday!

Well-I use alot of eggs to cook so instead of cracking the eggs and throwing the shells away-I "blow out" the eggs-save the whites and yolk mixture for cooking and let the intact whole egg shell dry out and create hanging decorated xmas ornaments--I have alot of fun that and I cannot afford to spend money on the adults of the family this year so Im making something from my heart and from my babies--my family already thinks I flipped my lid Im just adding fuel to their WTH with all the chickens attitude!

So, I just spent 10 minutes in front of an open freezer door trying to figure out how to freeze a glove full of liquid! It was quite the sight to see 3 of us huddled around trying to figure out something that should be really simple! Then we have to explain to others not to get in there because a hand (closed off with large paper clips) is hanging off pencils in the freezer!
