Injured baby chick. Need advise. - Page 2

Well, good news.  I've had her wearing a brace (made from that blue painters tape--easy to take off) for about 2 days.  She still limps, but her leg doesn't spraddle so much anymore.  So I'm hoping that as she gets strength in her leg, it will get better.  And today she didn't limp as badly as yesterday.

So how is she today? Is she any stronger?

I am kept as a pet by, 4 Banty Hens, 1 Sparrow "Birbie", 14 Butterfly Koi, 1 Standard Koi & 12 Fry (baby koi) 1 Goose, 10 Goslings, 9 preteen ducks. Also 1 VERY understanding hubbie (he can't stand a roosters crow) & 2 Animal Loving Kids. "MACK" "momma's baby duck" RIP.

Thanks for the encouragement and advice - our small brood of four hatched Sunday night, shipped Monday and arrived Wednesday.  All was happy and bright until this afternoon, and one began to lay about, breathing heavily, and favoring her left leg to the point of not using the right side to stand at all.

I gave her some sugar water and have boiled an egg to feed her... hoping that whatever injury she sustained will eventually heal itself?  Her right foot stretches and flexes, and she'll use it in short bursts; I haven't been able to tell if there is swelling.

I'll try the baby vitamins, too.  All her sisters are perky and happy... I'm hoping she has a chance.
