Do I need a license to sell eggs in CA?

If so, where do I go to get one?  It's just for my backyard girls eggs.

This is something that would be regulated by the city. 
You may want to call city hall and see what they say.

No, this is the type of thing governed by state law, not city code.  Check with your state department of agriculture.

Breeder & Exhibitor of fine silkies in recognized and project varieties.
adult and started pairs occasionally available;
   No eggs or chicks. 
Support your local poultry clubs, breed clubs, ABA & APA!

Sonoran Silkies is right- it's regulated by the State of California.  Sorry for the bad information.  It appears to me that you do not need a license from the state:
