White possum, how rare is it?

I went out to feed this morning and found a white possum in my trap. I've had my horse feed being eaten by something for the last few weeks and thought it was just squirrels, but I guess not. Just thought I'd share a picture, I've searched the Internet but can't find much info on it. I guess it must be pretty rare.

Found this on a site:

"An albino variation is not an uncommon sight. The albino varieties will have pink eyes, and white ears and feet."

From what ive read, theyre pretty common. I guess that would be considered Albino ? Sure is a pretty little bugger !  love

That is kind of rare, an albino opposum. You wouldn't think it would survive long in the wild like that.

I have a question about the picture though. Is the gray thing his tail or a stick? What about the thing under him? That looks like a snake. Can you please clear this up for me? Thanks!

LOL. The thing under it is a snake. I went out day before yesterday and the snake had got stuck in the trap. I killed the snake, but it was stuck in the wire. I took the trap out into the woods hoping something would eat it for me. I hate snakes!!! The possum got in to eat it and tripped the trap.

They are pinkish. Not black like a normal one.
