What is your chickens favorite treat? - Page 3

I fed mine mustard greens the other day and they loved them.  They love corn on the cob.  I am going to give them some cabbage today and some old peaches to see if they like them.

Bread, Yogurt (embellished with bird seed), Wheat Grass (grown in a tray), in that order.

I gave them their first tomato's today (grape) and they didn't last long.

I read that their bread should be limited in the hot weather, so I am going to have to learn how to make yogurt. Right now the yogurt is costing more than their regular feed!

PS: Mine didn't like carrots either.

Mine love any type of melon, cabbage, lettuce, yogurt with oatmeal and grapes corn on the cob. And then some. That then some appears to be toads also. I just found them chasing each other for a piece...
In the winter, a warm oatmeal-yogurt mash concoction.

Corn on the cob!! I feel like I'm in the movie "The Birds!" if they see me with corn on the cob.

My girls devour bits of bread and chopped hard boil egg.  The egg I don't do often, as that's something I make just for them (it's not like I've got eggs coming out my ears!  Where's my eggs?!).

They haven't eaten the broccoli or cabbage that I put out for them, or the leftover chopped salad.

The absolute favorite treat so far has got to be the Japanese Beetles.  I dump the bait bags into a pail of hot water, and then dump out the dead beetles.  OMG!!  They're gone in seconds!

They seem to have had fun stomping the bejeesus out of the Swiss Chard in the garden, but I don't think they actually ate any.

What they REALLY love:

corn on the cob, uncooked
cottage cheese - I send my daughter out with a bowl full and they practically knock her down to get it.
cooked spaghetti
fruit

What they WON'T eat at all

carrots
banana
iceberg lettuce (even when I cut it up really small)

1 dear husband, 1 dear daughter, 1 dear son, 1 horrible cat, 1 turtle, 4 Mini-Nubian Goaties, 1 bearded dragon, 2 BOs, 3 BAs, 2 RIRs, 1 WL, 1 SLW, and 1 GLW
