CHICKENS STOPPED LAYING!

OOOOPPPPSSSS!

In my last post I said the hen stopped laying... what I meant was she doesn't lay until she has the chicks. Most hens lay eggs and then just go broody, but she simply doesn't lay until she feels ready. And I think its a little strange that she doesn't lay for months at a time and thought she might be sick for awhile. But she is healthy, happy, and strong, and so I trust her to take care of herself (with my offered feed, water, and protection which she usually turns down)

Welcome to the vegetarian world.I have been a veg for 12 years. I have had 3 kids as a veg and we are all perfectly healthy. You really don't need to go out of your way to get protein, it is in more things that you think. rice and corn will combine to make a complete protein. It's interesting that meat eaters typically don't make sure that they have enough vitamins and fiber. Don't sweat it, it will come.
