Gosh I gave my birds catfood during their molts...What is a good alternative? I also give my girls garlic..is that ok?

Fish, meat scraps, beef liver, mealworms, cooked eggs, cooked beans and rice, quinoa and amaranth are all quality high protine alternatives to cat food. All meats, beans, eggs and rice should be cooked before serving.

A couple of chicken lovers stated that they would like to print the chart, but could not. I just printed it. Just use Ctrl P, pick the pages you want to print. I printed pages 3-5 and it worked fine.

well...you all know how I feel on cat food and I have posted the links and reasoning behind my objections several times ...it can potentially be detrimental to your birds health and even deadly in the right circumstances and for this reason I feel it should be left off the chart (as when you put it on it is as if you are condoning its use) I will repost here one of the sources for my objection:
http://www.omri.org/Amino_acids_livestock.html
..."While it is nutritionally essential, methionine excesses are far more toxic to poultry than similar excesses of tryptophan, lysine, and threonine (National Research Council, 1994). Force feeding methionine to excess can result in death to chicks (National Research Council, 1994). A dosage of 2 g / mature cat / day (20 to 30 g / kg dry diet) for 20 days induces anorexia, ataxia, cyanosis, methemoglobinemia and Heinz body formation resulting in hemolytic anemia (Maede, 1985). ..."
as with other pet;s any commercial prepared feed, specially from large companies, it is well known that today's prepared bag-food is not that great and pets of all kinds are getting sick/fat. or worse. So i want to thank you for the info given here, for the best interest for my chicken , to treat and care for my chickens as you do your, THANK YOU < (novice chicken holder).

I apologize of i missed this in the previous 50+ pages, but at what age can i start giving this to my baby chicks. They are 3 weeks old now.

I feed my cats only canned tuna in water because I think cat food has a lot of things in it and it’s not good for them I do give them a little bit of specialty dry as well but the leftover tuna the chickens absolutely go crazy for that one! Now my chickens won’t eat carrots or tomatoes they don’t seem to like anything colored orange or red I’ve tried hiding stuff in with it they just don’t want it so yeah they’re funny little creatures but I love them 🤷‍♀️
