Can ducklings be put in with older ducks?

I already have three buffs which are six months old. Now I am getting to pekin ducks that are only one month old. I don't want any ducklings to get hurt, so I'd like to know what you think. Should I separate them at first, but let them be close so they can look at each other and quack at each other, then eventually be allowed in the same fenced area as one another? This is what I'm thinking that I should do.
Or...
Should I just put the pekins in with the buffs, because why would they hurt a month old duck?
Or......
Should I just keep them separate forever, which I could do if that's what works.

Holy cow! I forgot to say that all three buffs are female, and the pekins are possibly one male and one female, but we don't yet know for sure.

Thank you~!!!

I personally had a bad experience mixing older and younger ducklings....I now keep them beside one another so they can see and hear one another and they seem to intergrate later just fine with that method.

ETA: cause' I can't spell....lol

I have had bad experience also adding babies to the older ones but it only came from the males the females were push them around if they got to close only for a few days then it was fine the drakes on the other hand would try to breed with them..So I have also had to keep them apart until the females were at breeding age..

i have added 4 week old ducks to my 5mth old and older flock with out issues. i did as talked about for a few hrs a day then let them in with the adults. the adults werent very nice for about an hr then as long as the babies stayed away they would be fine and after a week or so they all became good friends.
i have added a few more ducks in the last few weeks and havent had any probs (knock on wood)
