BIG NEWS: Official Book Of BYC - Raising Chickens For Dummies - Page 12

Hi Kim (GardeningGranny), I was just kidding about a Silkie on the cover!  I have, will only have Silkies, but I LOVE the hen on your cover.
Yes, sounds like she may have a nest hidden.
I'd be happy to send you some fertilized Silkie eggs if you'd like. lol

Hi chicken lovers

If you want to read more of what I write and more about my animals,  I have a Redneck Re-Cycling for Gardeners site at www.squidoo.com/gardeninggranny  and a blog at www.blogger.com/gardeninggranny

I also write for the Examiner you can see my article announcing the Raising Chickens for Dummies book  http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-13632-Detroit-Country-Living-Examiner~y2009m7d27-Where-can-I-get-some-chickens-for-egg-laying  Gosh I hope that link worked- and while you are there you may want to read my most controversal article here

Darn I always seem to screw up these long links.  Got to get to a site where they shorten them.

Oh and about what I feed my dogs (now 15, poor old Peanut died), why I feed them chickens of course!  Just kidding- although they love eggs and on occaision they have killed a chicken or two- I have primarily Jack Russells.

I am so excited about the book! Congratulations! I am definitely going to order extra copies. I am thinking of holding a party to get people interested in starting a backyard flock and to discuss other sustainability projects and I think this would make an awesome door prize!
