Lotherial, your birds are beautiful!  How are you likeing the guineas?  I don't like their constant rackett.  I think they are worse than peafowl.  However, what a little garden hunter, eh?

My guineas drove me batty... They would climb up to the window an scream at it till I woke up an gave the food.... They found a new home....

Yep, I don't miss them.  I 'll never have them or peafowl again ever.  I love my turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese and moslty the quail, but no more loud dumb birds for me.

Well, if you think guineas are loud, brace yourself.  Peafowl scream at one another randomly.  (go listen on youtube, but crank it up for the right dcbls.

 

They fight turkeys. (really fight, flying into air, talons out, day after day)  They fly only cars from trees up above, and their nails are very damaging to paint and people.  The hens are good setters, but loose all the babies usually.  Expensive, and hard to treat.  They can fly out of every cage, unless its got a top.  The roost up about 20 feet or so every night, so forget catching them again.

 

But, if you like her and it wins the heart of a wrothy woman, I'd get a few anyway.  At least the eggs and chicks are valuable.

Dont know about all that wining the "heart of a worthy woman" stuff but they may have a place here in future.
