Solar powered interior coop light?

I got mine at Lowes for about $27. The pic below shows the panel mounted outside. There are three LED spotlights which came with it. Two are in the coop and one is in the run area pointed at the door opening. I don't have pics of the spots. The great thing about this light is that each spot came with about 10' of cable attached to them and they simply plug into the solar panel. All of the components are made to mount to flat surfaces and it comes with all the mounting screws.

Mike, do the lights turn on and off with a switch or do they stay on all night long? DH is playing around with solar panels now (not for the coop). His charge a battery and I'm thinking that we might be able to use in coop instead of electricity.

Mine is the same and it has a light sensor on the panel which turns the light on at night. There is also a switch on the panel if you want to turn it off. I like it because I hated going up there in the dark to close up the coop.

I purchased on from Home Depot. It gives off just enough light to gather eggs in the morning and after sunset. I originally purchased it to extend the hours of light for my big girls but I end up spoiling them with a heat lamp during the cold months! Mine will turn on/off with the sensor or there is a manual on switch on the light itself. Sorry no pictures at this time as I just finished a 27 hour shift

and need to go to bed.

we have a similar light we bought at lowes. Ours was around $40 but it has three flood lights that attach to it. I put two in the coop and one outside the people door so I can see to go up the steps after dark. It is a dusk to dawn and also has a on off switch.

I don't have pictures of the solar panels with the new coop but here's a picture of our solar panels that run fans and lights.

Anyone have any that only stay on 4-6 hours?? I think these would be great, but chickens don't need light all night. I have seen some solar shed lights that say they stay on 2-4 hours. Of course these would have to be turned on at dark, so either way it is a compromise. Do these lights even light all night in the winter? If I don't give the panel full sunlight, will they dim in a few hours?? Guess I could buy some and then test them. If they don't work for my coop/tractor I can use them in my yard!
