Brower Top Hatch Incubator - Instructions don't....

I recently got this incubator and other then the auto turner not turning very much it hasn't had any problems. My first hatch is due on the 16th so I'll know more then. I have it set up in a place that is normally fairly chilly (typically around 55 or so...it's a basement) and it's a rather moist air down there and it holds the heat and humidity well so far. I'll keep you update on it.....I got the little bearings but no large ones but so far it hasn't mattered.

Thanks, Rachelj07!! Please keep me updated on how your hatch goes...I am so nervous as this is our first hatch. Everyone has been so helpful!!

We just never received the large bearings, it seems to be doing okay though if it's only suppose to turn a tiny bit.

This is my first hatch too and it's 90 quail eggs

Hopefully we'll get something. I check it like 10 times a day I'm so nervous....with less then two weeks I've already got my hatching countdown going.

I put 24 eggs in yesterday, Aug. 12. Other than adding a cup of water every other day through the funnel/straw, I don't intend to do anything until the 18th day when I stop the incubator from turning the eggs. They should hatch on or about Sept. 1. I'm really concerned about these eggs and how they might do because my two hens aren't with the rooster, so I got the two dozen eggs from a friend. He had accumulated them by sitting them in a carton on his kitchen counter, not in his refrigerator's vegetable drawer. Some others that I had like that did not do well at all. We'll see on Sept. 1st. I'll let you know.

could you please tell me if this is supposed to turn eggs all the time or just every now and then?I bought mine used and havent seen it turn yet and didnt know if it maybe was broken or just wasnt supposed to turn all the time...thanks

The turner turns verrrrry slowly. If you mark the eggs and check it throughout the day, you should see that they have turned. If you don't see that they've been turned, make sure that the slot on the bottom of the drum is correctly seated on the turner.

If the fan inside is going, the turner is turning. As the fan and turner are controlled by the same motor.

I am commenting on this 2009 thread to ask for some help in regards to my THI20 Brower incubator. - I have been testing it and had it plugged in for days and it has not turned - not once. will it only turn when there are eggs in it? Here is a photo of the instruction booklet. I do have to say the booklet is not all that well written - and there are a lot of spelling errors. LOL! Any help appreciated!
