Love my guns. I've had much fun with them. I also believe it is a great responsibility to possess firearms. I had to get rid of mine because my step-son is just a little too untrust worthy too have them around. Please for all of you with firearms Secure them safely where children cannot reach them(gun safe or trigger locks at the least) GOD Bless America and don't give up our freedoms without a fight.

Well in that case their are probably a lot of wack a doos here. A lot of law enforcement wack a doos. And I am betting there are more than 10 or 20 guns protecting the president. I personally own 6 1851 colt civil war navies I thought I was a black powder handgun buff, but I guess it turns out I must be black powder wack a doo, which I think is better then being gangster thug any day.

Love owning my guns, hunting, lots and lots of target shooting as well.. in home protection..NRA all the way..

Gun owners need to stop defending their ownership and start asking "them" why they don't own any and why is it the responsibility, of someone who does, to serve and protect them.

We all know by now that as long as there is a topic of rights, there will be disagreement. God Bless America.

Now for the important stuff.
I own 34 chickens. 2 or 3 would be just fine. Am I a wack-a-doo?

Yes I have more than 10 and all mine are long guns, just remember the more freedom we lose, everytime they put more controls.

Think everyone need to protect all our freedom, and stop letting them being taken. You may not own guns but the next rights taken maybe yours.

Just like one town here passed a law you cant have more than 2 pets. Why because one person had a house full of cats. There was laws to deal with that already on the books.

Think we need to all stand together and stop all these new laws. They just keep taken more freedom from us. You will find if they would enforce the one on the book. No need for all these new laws.

Protect yourself from whom?
I'm not asking because I am a smart a** but I am truly curious.

My Dh, his dad, and my kids went down the river tonight. I am in the middle of the woods, over 10 miles from town, all alone and I have french doors with no curtains in my bedroom leading out onto a porch. What if someone wanted to break in? They will clearly see that 30-06 I have propped up by my bedside and walk to the next house

That is for real...I am really here alone and I feel super secure knowing I am armed!! I am not scared a bit.

...AND I get to BYC all night without my DH saying "get off that computerrrrrrrr"

OMGOSH! RIGHT after I posted this was a LOUD bang on the door! Scared the peegeeshish out of me...so I take that back about not being scared.

Guess I fall into the wack a doo cat too. I have at least 15??
Always thought I was a fairly well educated man though??
I have a few pistols, several DIFFERENT style shotguns for various applications in hunting as well as several different long range riffles for the same reason. A couple of 22's for protection my birds from predators, etc, See each style gun, has different applications. I refer you back to my previous post, EDUCATION is a big key in knowing what to talk about with gun control. As I see it, this just makes me a well prepared sportsman, not a wacko. And several of these are inherited keep sakes from my lost father and grandfather.

NO GUN EVER PULLED IT'S OWN TRIGGER!

As for the above mentioned "Protection from whom" question, well the real wack a doos, that would try to break into ones home, rape, rob, or kill you, seems to happen everyday in this country, wouldn't you rather some little ol lady shoot that guy in the face than to be murdered by him? Wouldn't happen though if she cant legally own a weapon.
Also, not necessarily whom, but what. I have been run up trees by wild hogs, had a bobcat come up a deer stand after me once as a child, protect my birds frequently from predators with guns, if you are an outdoors-man and spend many hours in the woods as I and millions of other folks do, well, there's quite a few critters out there that can kill you.....

This I agree with. 60% of the guns I own I have never shot. They were left to me my Father, and in turn left to him by his Father. When I look at them they are more like art than dangerous. Of course I have still accumulated enough of my own that would still through me into the wacko category by this standard.
