Morning people,

Hopeful a slow day today. I have to get to the mill for some lumber. Chickens need more food, and we are consuming apple sauce like it was water. I am going to have to make some more.

Karl: How many turkeys you doing? How do you freezer them (wrap)? I have 4 to do this year, but I can't see buying those extra extra large bags. Last year I brought them to a processor.

Sourland: you get all your bulbs in the ground?

Enjoy your day

Kaj

Good morning chicken wranglers,

Q what we do is butcher and eat for thanksgiving day I have a vacuum sealer that we wrap all the big stuff in , but as of yet we have not frozen a turkey yet I had not considered the challenge.

Hope you have your slow day but I personally must rush around and prep for leaving tomorrow what a pain.

Gotta rush !

God Bless!

Overcast all day, but the temps were nice. I made it to the mill and did office work.

Karl: I have 4 turkeys, 1 for us, 1 for each daughter and 1 for the "son we are glad we never had". This year I get to cook 2 turkeys. We have Thanksgiving for the In-laws (mother, father, sister, aunt and uncle), my father and any of our kids plus their families. Before that, I get to cook one at our youngest daughters house.... Doesn't it seem you work the hardest right before you go away and after you return? Enjoy yourselves.

Funny thing happened to the better half and myself. We are on top of this mountain yesterday, eating and taking a break. We hear what sounds to me like the sound of helicopter wash, that ffflop ffflop sounds mixed with a twang of a mouth harp...ffflop-twang, ffflop-twang. Getting closer moving up the side of the mountain. We are looking at each other, asking each other if we heard that noise, wondering out loud what it was as it is getting closer. At the very edge of the cliff there is a 15 - 20' hemlock, the noise travels up the hemlock and out pops a raven. It had the most squeakiest wings I have ever heard on a bird. The poor bird didn't expect to see us there, you could say he stopped on a dime and did a U turn.

Enjoy your evening

Kaj
