Anyone living near the East TN area check out our East Tennessee forum. We are a great group and very active! You can make some really good friends there.

On another point....I am looking for more poultry shows in Tennessee. We only have a few locally and I would like to find others. I don't mind driving a 100 miles or so..so if anyone knows of any or a site where shows are listed please post for us at the East Tennessee thread...thanks so much!!!

Hi,

I just joined the forum and am in Memphis.  I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of my chicks in mid July. Just trying to see who is in the area.

Hello! I'm in Tipton County. :)

You guys can keep chickens in Memphis?

So glad you are nearby.  I've learned a lot so far from this site.  Do you already have chickens?

Echoday,

We can have 6 in our flock here in Memphis.  No roosters.  I was really glad to find this out.

Hi all.  I'm currently stationed up at Millington and the kids are wanting some chicks.  Does anybody in the area sell chicks or eggs for hatching?  Thanks so much for the help and look forward to the responses.

Hi, bigred!

Call Mr. Richard Marbury in Mason (PM for the number). This is where I get my chicks/pullets. Not sure if he has chicks right now or not. I also have another contact in Mason, the Webbs, where I purchased a Bantam Silkie & Bantam Cochin (I can get you that number too).

That said, there are A LOT of sellers in the area, especially Drummonds. http://memphis.craigslist.org/search/?areaID=46&subAreaID=&query=chicks&catAbb=sss

If you live within the city limits, make sure you check with the board first.

I'm a neighbor just north of you in Munford! :)
