Could this be a Double Frizzle?? - Page 3

yuckyuck  seriously, I know lau You wanna see what the poor thing looked like when i found her?

She was in well below freezing temps, outside, hatching babies last October sad
One baby had frozen to death by the time i arrived. She had blood on her face from the 2 roosters as she was the only hen. She was covered in mites too. I am treating her like a QUEEN!!!!!!!!!

No she is not blind, thats Just the flash. She had some frost bite too.
She is not in with the flock, i did not want her to have to deal with the pecking order.
She and 2 mille fleur get the entire yard to themselves with no boys smile

I have a red frizzle hen nearly identical to the one in lurky's picture. I am thinking she may be a double frizzle also after reading about them and seeing her curly feathers. I actually named mine Curly. My other frizzle hen and a frizzle rooster that I recently sold just did not look the same as Curly. She even has a few bald spots, though you really have to look close to see them. Yours could be like her. He is still a cute little roo.

I didn't see the "before" picture of lurky's hen until after I posted. Poor baby! I'm glad she found a better home. The "after" picture where she has her feathers is the one I was referring to when I said she looks like my hen named Curly. I had to get used to looking at poor Curly at first, but I have become quite attached to her. She is a sweet girl and very docile.
