I'm always shocked how people take something typed on a forum so personally :) If I say it here I have done it. No Bull poop from me. I'm not arguing, I'm stating what I see in MY flock of 10 years.I'm NOT P.C. If that offends please just block me :)

I looked it up... too rich for my blood!  lol  Maybe someday...

Welcome neighbor!  I'm in Canandaigua.  I buy layer crumble at TSC.  If you find something else, let me know, please!

Did a complete search of the chicken run weed patch, didn't find any other stashes.  But I did find 2 new eggs in the litter box!  I think I'll just forget about the 63 and say.... I got my first eggs!!!celebrate.gif I filled the horse bucket with the 60 eggs with water and swished them around, no floaters.  Guess chickies are going to have a 60 egg omlet for breakfast tomorrow.  Well, maybe 30 tomorrow and 30 for Sunday.  Better find more that 2 tomorrow.

I have a friend who loaned me her  Hova 1602n and I didn't do so good.

Then I ordered eggs from Speckledhen and I didn't want to mess up again so I bought the 1588 at her recommendation and I've done ok so far.

I know lots of folks use the LG's with good success.  Just not me.

My Gen cost $182. 00 or thereabouts.  They might be more since they are updated.  That's including the turner, but you might find a turner cheaper on line.

I feed my crew Flock Raiser with oyster shell free choice on the side.  It does leave powder in the bottom of the bowl, but I've discovered that wetting down the powder and making what amounts to chicken porridge apparently makes it All New Food, as they go bananas for it.  I figure, hey, whatever floats their boat.
