Since you are all fellow repurposers: Anyone interested in some chain link fence? It is only 4' high, so not really good for a chicken fence, but thought maybe someone can use if for a dog pen. We are burying our in-ground pool, never used it in the 6 years since we owned the house as it was in poor shape. It is 24.5' wide, 46' long, green coated, has one gate.
My Easter hatch is looking like a disaster. Did end up with 4 Wyandottes, 5 Spitz (2 silver, 2 blue, 1 chamois) from the incubator. Broody had 5 out of 6 hatch, 6th one died after pipping. Think the early incubator problems made them much too large, then added too much humidity at lockdown in the new bator. The last couple chicks to hatch were sticky. Leaving them in a couple more days to be sure. Hubby wants to get TSC chicks, but I'd rather hatch again when it is nicer out at Chickenstock time. It is all a learning process, but still much happier with the Hovabator.
