Cortland TSC got in more Tetra Tints and Red Sex Link.  barnie.gif  And ducklings. They need to get in more chick variety!  Anyone know what the Ithaca TSC has right now?  Or Auburn (although that is a little far)?

I want to get a few more chicks before the current ones get too much older...

I lost a cockerel and 2 hens to a hawk last year.  If you have hawks - be careful!!!!! Now the dog is on airspace patrol.  He barks at anything (including sparrows) that dare fly overhead.  LOVE it!

Wife to a wonderful man, Mom to 3 beautiful children, have a few hives of honeybees, 1 English Shepherd, 1 cat and 20 +/- chickens (Barnevelders, LF Cochins, and a bit of this and that to fill in the egg basket).

I think I just found myself 2 silkie chicks for this weekend! Only thing is, they don't know if they are bearded or not. Does anyone know if there is a way to tell on Chicks if they are going to be bearded or not? Or can you tell by the hen and roo that had the eggs?

You do know I have plenty of coffee since so many of us are here.  I was up at 7:30 and laid down and went back to sleep but then someone called and rang twice and hung up. rant.gif Unknown name and number.  So I had to get up.  I have Starbucks?

DW is home today too.  She's bakes really good cake.

This reminds me of the dream Alan said he had the other night.  He hates all things zombie, but, because zombies are fashionable, he can't avoid them.  So, the other night he dreamed that we had zombies attacking the house.  Because they couldn't get to us, they went after the chickens.  The chickens then became zombie chickens and came after us.  They surrounded the house and were tapping on all the doors and windows trying to get in to eat us.  I said that somebody needs to make a zombie chicken movie - I'd go see it!

I usually have dreams where there are lots of puppies or bunnies or some animal.  No zombies though.  I stopped watching horror movies.   To many nightmares.

I don't want to chance it but I suspect this BR rooster would give a hawk a run for it's money if it goes after the hawk they way it comes at me!    He hit my leg one day and it hurt for some time afterwards.  I watch out when I'm out there now.  He's like a good looking woman.  Can get away with a lot before you get replace her, with one not so pretty but tame.  lol.png

I was at the Ithaca TSC yesterday and they had black sex links, golden comets, cornish rocks, and (I think) black orpingtons.

I hit the pillow and don't remember a thing.  Usually asleep in 2-3 minutes.  DH makes fun of me, I think he is just jealous.  But, if something, a noise, etc. wakes me up, I pace the house and look outside to see if there is anything going on.  Night is then shot.

Happy tell DH I'm not surprised you fall asleep so fast.  You most likely work more than he does.  Especially if you got little kids in the house.  I don't know how or why women work outside the home.  The heck with cable and all the frills. Then if you add animals to the mix, Lord have mercy!

Funny how you rarely see zombie animals.  An occasional dog, and (very rarely) a cat, but that is it.

On a less morbid note, got some quail eggs in the bator!!!
