Went to big acre yesterday and resisted. Don't know how but came home with no chickies. I really wanted that little yellow EE with puffy cheeks

I only have 29. Is it wrong to want to even up the numbers to about 100???

I see nothing wrong with that! I mean, 100 is a nice even number, seems very reasonable to me!!

Are you sure 100 is a even number?

I am with all of you. I only have 25 chickens and that just don't seem like it is enough. I WANT MORE!! But dh said that we had plenty and if I wanted more I had to cull the ones that I have now that don't lay.

Don't sound like a good idea to me but I will get more and he will just find them one day. He would never hurt my chickens. My addiction is less costly then his.(Nascar).

But anyway. Where is Hamiliton's???
I NEED MORE CHICKENS!!

Keleka- you are stealing my chickens again!?!?!?!?!?

I'm going to have to report you to the police so they have you on file as a repeat offender!!!
At least I know that Reagan (sp) will be a good chicken mommy to her!!!

Dang- Stevie- you is right- 200 is an even number. I've been out of school so long this old hen forgot what even numbers are!!!!!
Gersbud- Hamilton's is in Ortonville. You can mapquest it. I havn't been there but I should go. At least try to get there before Keleka :thun !!

Hamiltons gets new chicks every week-usually a nice assortment of fancies for the 4-H kids plus layers, turkeys, ducks, geese and bunnies. Call them and they'll tell you who is coming each week. They get chicks every week through May, I think. I was at the new Tractor Supply Co. in Ortonville-it's right on Ortonville Rd.(M-15). They said they will have their birds in two weeks. They also are getting a large assortment. I always thought they only got layers.

Chickflick and I went to Mason on Tuesday and gots some chicks!! Chickflick got 2 Austrolorps, 1 BO, and 2 EE's. I got 2 BO's and 2 EE's. Got there before Keleka which is the only reason that I got the chick's I wanted!!! Than I dropped off my extra Roo's on Thursday at Rich Douglas's place in Columbiviile and got a SLW hen.
There's a swap meet in Imlay City on the April 26 weekend. We went last year, bigger then we thought it would be. Left with noghting but fell in luv with the peafowl.
I need to call Hamilton's and see what they have in. I want a few Delaware chick's. Anybody know were I can get some???

Darn, I knew nothing about Mason and chicks. Good thing you didn't tell me!! jk I have enough chicks for the moment. We just had a Serama chick hatch the other day. What else did Rich have out at his place? I know he was looking for a bunch last time I talked with him. Congrats on the new birds. I was thinking of swinging by the Imlay City show too.......just to look of course.

That's the secret!!! Keep my big mouth shut!! O'well, I know your little girl well love them and its important to start this addiction when they are young!!
Rich had alot of babies- Austro's, BO's, EE's, White Rock's, BR's, ISA Browns, and a few others. Also ducklings- Fawn Runner is the only one I remember.
I was looking for something different for my flock. That's why I picked up the SLW. Probably should'nt have since she is a full grown hen. Rich said she is a year old but she looks older to me. Runny, smelly poop so she's in lockdown in my basement till I'm happy with her piles.
