It is winter in the UP. You have an awesome jacuzzi bathtub and feel like relaxing. You can either
A: Put on some relaxing music and grab a good book for a long bath
B: Whip out some bubble bath for an sudsy soak
C: Fill the tub full of ducklings and watch the fun

Yea, C happened in this household!

Ducklings in a tub

What breed is your avatar rooster?  He is STUNNING!

I would say a Lakenvelder. I have one , he is not trust worthy, his days are ## as soon as I can get DH to help me. They are pretty,

I went down to Florida with my buddy to dive and we stay with his parents on their bee farm. His dad had bought a bull calf and as we would check the bee hives, the calf would follow me everywhere. He liked to have his head rubbed right between and above his eyes.

Now fast forward 9 or 10 months when we go back again. The little calf is much bigger and starting to sprout new horns. He still likes to have his head rubbed so I oblige him for a while until we go back into the house. The house is an old antebellum with a double door entry and central hall running the length of the house. See where I'm going here?

About 20 minutes later, we hear the front doors open and footsteps in the hallway. Here is that bull in the hallway, looking for more attention.

Raz you do have a way with animals, don't you,

Yorkchick that was a sweet story, you should write a book of short stories, you are very good with words.

RBahmer - How exciting to have all those babies, how many are you up to now total?

Stacykins - those babies are so cute,  the last one is my favorite.  Those ducks look they are having a great time!  Is it their first swim or do they get to use the tub routinely?

M2M - stay warm ... and safe.

Has anyone had experience with Stormberg's?  They seem to be the only place I can find Bantam WCB and Golden laced Polish hatching eggs right now.  I have to decide if I should buy some or not.

I spoke with Raz today about some apple wood for his smoker.  I believe all of us need to pray for him as I believe from our conversation that he is ill.  Can you believe doesn't like coconut cake?  The boy must be sick.  eating- piece of cake.gif

When having problems with chickens stop and think, what would Harlan do?

Rbahmer~  congrats on the latest foursome.

Stacykins~  Hope you don't mind if I email your ducks in a tub pic to my friend and give her a lesson on what tubs REALLY are for

They get tub time once a day, and they LOVE it! Splashing water all over, dunking their heads, flapping their teeny wingies, wiggling their fluffy booties! I love it when they submerge their entire bodies and then shoot around under the few inches of water like tiny torpedoes!

Hahaha, go for it, absolutely! I mean, using a bathtub for duckies makes perfect sense. Warm water, easy to clean, and very convenient!

Oh my gosh!  Those fuzzy butts are so freakin cute!

Congrats on all those twin babies.  Cuteness overload!

Sam, I don't like coconut, but I like the flavor of coconut.  Guess it's the texture.  Believe me Raz, I've had that cake and it's amazing!

Unnamed, that is good news smile.png

Stacykins your chicks and ducks are cuties.

Opa I will take anything Raz won't eat big_smile.png

Went ice fishing this weekend and ended up around 80 posts behind, and 200 post behind on the easter hatch thread. Maybe I should consider giving up BYC for Lent.

Home of the world's cutest dachshund, one crazy blue heeler, two cats,
one fat pony, and many (but not too many!) chickens

Can anyone tell me, how many are too many chickens?
