I would, but our TSC has a habit of only getting a few of the "fun" breeds, then not ordering more. :( I got me EE roo from them, and i have yet to see more EE's there....Still early yet, so
And don't worry, this year i will be making a little covered run to butt up to my camper, so when i am not playing shepherdess the chickens will have some place safe to be.

fuzzy, it's those tiny red mites. Thanks for the info tho. I'll try it and hope or the best.
Just give a little time to let the dust wear off! Spray the walls and perches right away. you don't want an overdose of pesticides..... I don't like them, but i really do recommend this product. It's only $10. and you can use it as a coop spray, bird spray, or make my magic leg mite ointment... I really do think they get less of the pesticide with the drops, and that way all you have to do is go down the line at nightfall when they're roosting. I don't have the spray info cause my birds developed a fetish for eating paper...Just remember that mites live off the bird, so they are seriously infesting the walls right now, and you can bring them into your house if you are not careful... if you are actually seeing them THAT'S BAD! They will make your birds anemic and can kill them, so spray the walls and perches too. The liquid will last longer and coat better than the powder. "pyrmethrin 10%" is the name, and it is not with the chicken stuff. Under my posts is a couple links for mites/lice info.

If you actually knew what goes on during spring break... My DH lived in FL when he was a high schooler. and his wild sister sneaked out and went,..... well, let's just say that i'm not allowed, even WITH him!

Hello all!
I got good news about my little Sugar-pie. I brought her back out to her mom today. Skeeter has been keeping in the winter run with her babies since my dogs got one of her chicks. Well, anyway, I decided to bring her back out there today so I could see how Skeeter was going to act so I would know if I was going to steel Leilas littlest chick and put them together in a brooder box.
Well, anyone who thinks chickens are stupid, is stupid. Skeeter heard Sugar-pie start to chirp once we got out to the run, and she came running at me head up, looking excited and all. I set her baby down by her, Skeeter looked at me, Sugar went to her siblings, then all three burrowed under Skeeter, she puffed up and settled over top of them. I think all is good. YAY!! Now I want to go and buy a few chicks and put them in the fish tank. LOL. NO NO NO NO!
I can't do it. I don't need them. I don't need them. But, if they get silkies at our TSC, you can bet your chicken butts I am getting some. LOL.

Can you let me know if there are any little greyish yellow feather feet banties with yellow skin? They have the normal amount of toes too...

It didn't dawn on me earlier why the kids kept running to me and asking for jobs to do to earn money, until I'm sitting here waiting for DH to get home so we can run to TSC. Those little stinkers know it's Chick Days!
