Ok, kind of a crappy picture, but hey, its with my phone and in the underrun, so...

Anyway, I wanted to show off this girl. She started out yellow. Slightly chickmunky... Now, she is getting this awesome pattern coming in. She is Aster/Fluffers, so, black ee and faverolle mix. There are salmon brown feathers coming in on her back, along with darker chocolate colored feathers at the wing joints. No longer any yellow, but white. Its is so interesting how all the babys are so different! Only 2 look the same, and that is Sugar-pie and one of Leilas. I have to get another pic of my evil looking silkie faverolle. Its even more different looking now!

At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.

coffee-bath-smiley.gifGot up this morning and discovered that I have a pulse.  It appears that God has once again taken care of the important requirement for a good day so now the rest of it is up to me.  I feel bad for the people who can't understand that the primary requirement for having a good day is attitude.  While today is still a little on the brisk side it still is going to be a wonderful day and the next week it is going to be nothing short of glorious.  Temperatures in the upper 40s and 50s, how could we want more.

I know some of you raise naked neck chickens or variations.  You might want to consider taking it to a  whole new level.  In Israel they developed a chicken that has no feathers.  ***-1.jpg

Opa - That chicken looks sunburnt. OUCH!

Good Morning all. I've been to FFH 3 times this weekend and resisted chicks. Actually, yesterday they were out of everything but Jumbo Cornish. I think we are going to try a couple of those to see if we like them (well see if my DH likes them....I haven't eaten chicken since I was 15). If we do, then we are going to do more for us and the family.

It's going to be warm this week. Which means cleaning out the coop and setting up the incubator! Hopefully the girls will start laying better soon. One of the FBCM's has a nice red comb so I am expecting a little dark egg from her soon.

Mom2 - Somehow I think your family would understand if you were laid up on a holiday or birthday.  I'm sure they care more about your health than one day of the year.  I hope both you and Nova can get it taken care of soon.

Well, the sun is out.  Maybe we'll have another beautiful day despite the temps.  Such a simple thing, but I'm really looking forward to the 60 degrees they're forecasting on Sunday so I can have the day to throw open the windows and doors and get some spring cleaning done.
