Hey Nova, did you change your avatar - it looks more sort of "grown uppish".

Yup, this is what I saw, 3 this color, one white and one black.  A feathered, walking football.

I was out in the pole barn about an hour ago and Pocah one of our barn cats popped out from behind a box.  As soon as she did I heard faint mewing sounds so I looked behind the box and there they were.  She had 6 just like last time.  3 orange and 3 black again just like last time.  We knew she was pregnant so it wasn't too much of a surprise, but I didn't expect her to go in the barn to have them.  We don't plan on keeping any of them, but one of them is super cute (tortie coloring w/ white socks and face )so maybe I can finagle keeping at least that one.

Today - it looked like they did! Lots of kiddos at our church waving them around. Pretending we were in Jerusalum. We had rock music and dancing in the aisles. Pretty sure this was not an authentic reenactment of events 2012 years ago but we sure had fun.
 

I am tempted to go out and look at Leila's eggs... See if there are silkie babies in there or if I am going to go and buy her a few little bantams. HEY! Think she could raise some CX?

I'd like to get some Guineas for bug control, never seems to be a priority.  Maybe this summer... gotta start with keets because I'm not up to homing adults.  

swampducks - (hoping I've got the right person) If the main difference with oils and acrylics is the dry time it's probably best I stick with acrylics.  I'm too impatient.  At times even acrylics dry too slowly for me.  LOL!

RaZ  Sorry to hear about your Mom. Perhaps you could start with some part time in home care. That is what I have for DW and it is working well so far.

Those are guinea fowl - very noisy and irksome, but incredibly tasty! We had some; himself couldn't stand the noise so we ate them  - worse than pea fowl (noise-wise, haven't eaten any peafowl so don't know about the taste).

They also make a very good alarm system. Nova when you move out here you will find there are 1000's of them just free ranging everywhere. In the yards in the trees in the streets!

this is the opposite side with 1 coat of paint. Going to replace that little board we didn't paint and the 2 runs will come off that same wall.

 

Not going to use that corregated roofing stuff...found out it's pretty expensive!!

AWESOME There's a girl after me own ugly heart. See if ya look in "my coop" you will see that 2 of mine started worse than that. now if ya do a little white trim and a few decorations. It will be ready to rent out soon!
