Someone told me once it was to help prevent things like Easter chicks and such. Not sure if that's true.

It can definitely be done if you are serious about it, I have several friends that live off the grid.

Haha, me too! Hey, if I go to Chickenstock, will someone stuff a couple little pygmy goats in my DH's back pockets when he's not looking? lol.png

Holy crow, swampducks! That sucks! And I would so not be paying for his freakin cat door, he's the one that shut your dog in there in the first place, BS! Hope at least everything with the fence goes well for you, and you have an end to the trouble.

If you're going to drive anywhere, I wouldn't drive to Lansing! lau.gif (You missed Ann Arbor!)

Swampducks...

It sounds like you need a hug hugs.gif

My mom had a crazy neighbor that would throw dog poop at the side of her house... That, to be fair, may or may not have been her dogs poop. He never said anything about it or asked her to clean it up. By that time her dog was 17... older than dirt and loosing her mind and functions.

I am glad you got your pup back without any major damage being done. Some people are crazy!! You can tell someone is crazy if they don't like animals. And my rule is if my dog doesn't like you... I don't either!!

x2!!! That's not your fault, he didn't have to trap your dog like that. Yes, he/she escaped but he chose to do that, it's not like the dog got in there & tore stuff up.

Each state has it's own laws. I think Michigan does a pretty good job at balancing individual rights with the rights of others in the community. It is worth knowing how a state functions before moving there. There are some pretty serious criminal cases/conflicts/perhaps injustices in Florida.  It reflects on the states Judicial system and the laws the people of that state have put into place.

In Hawaii, the population is so small and so many people have long histories with each other that crimes/abuses can go unreported and uncorrected for a long time. Justice as we know it can take a second place to the traditions of local culture.

Here are my developing de'ccle (mabe) chicks, they are turning out buff with black markings????? The largest is definitely acting roo-ish, flapping about and chest bumping the others: (Little bean is still little and calm)
