I think you are so funny! You almost always make me laugh with your posts. Love it!

OMG I cant wait to be out of this stupid place!! Just to be back here at 7 am! Barf. Oh well, maybe I'll have a new job tomorrow, hehe.

Thank you.. good luck at the NEW job..I bet you are so excited. If you didnt live so far away, I need to hire techs- BAD, really really badly. I have to deny all vacation requests because there are no techs to cover a shift. People must still show up, even if dead.

Well, today was more productive than I wanted. LOL.

I have only the door left for the coop. I kindly asked the neighbor if he could help me cut it right. I don't feel like dealing with a crooked door. LOL. Oh hell every thing else is crooked. Kid you not. Come measure and square, and OH, bring a level, and you will leave scratching your head at how the hell its so sturdy when not a darn thing is straight. LOL. I don't care. It is standing. It will not fall over. LOL. I just use really BIG screws. HAHAHA.

So, as soon as I have a door.... aiming for friday. I am going to work at getting the littles used to going in there. May have to do a few at a time, but, we will get there. I have to put screen or something along those lines between the roof and the frame first... Otherwise, they could get out thru those gaps and then wouldn't be able to get back in.

I got the front lawn mowed. Took me and 2 men 30 minutes to get the lawn mower going. OMG! What a pain in the butt! I am so very grateful for the neighbors I have. They are one fantastic couple, and Carls dad Bill, I wish he were my kids other gramps. He has a lot of know how in that brain. Thats what I miss most about my dad being gone.

The silkies are not out yet. They are tapping the shells though. I put them to my ear, and I hear tap tap tap. WEEEEEHOOOO! Leila is staying put on them. The little dots are all good too. They handle very well.

Sarah, got my fingers crossed for you.

Welcome to any one I forgot to welcome....

And.... There's something else I was going to go on about, but I forgot...

At the very least, wipe the poop off your feet before getting in the car.

Hello!  I'm new.  Ok, I'm not "new", but haven't had time to actively be on the site for anything but reference in a couple of years.  Hubby and I moved to Highland Twp last winter.  I just got my first ever batch of chicks in the mail from Meyer... I've always bought adults our older pullets before.  SO, I've got my brooder set up in the basement, the peepers are peeping contentedly to themselves, the dogs are learning that they are not to be played with.  All is right with the world for the moment.  The ladies will be in the basement for another couple of weeks, then I'll move them to the Big Brooder in the barn, and then into the "converted shed" coop when they're old enough.  We're planning to build them a coop out of cob later this summer, when we have time (hahaha - like that's ever going to happen!)

Oh I would love to work in emergency, it's too bad we're not closer! Dang. Well at least for now, who knows where I'll end up. :)

Mom, that sucks. :(  had to be a fuzzy banty.

Juise, that helped a lot! I've often been puzzled, since i don't know anyone personally with that lifestyle, i could never get a "real" answer. :)  I think, then, that i fall into some kind of "natural food" kind of category. We eat meat, eggs, and milk, but most of  the meat is caught by my hubby, and i'm doing better each year getting more veggies on the table from the garden. (we eat a lot of them, so it's still a work in progress)   :)

Hillbilly      Wow! You'll have to keep an eye on that hen, good thing it came out OK.

Hi Raz frow.gif

Is that a subtle hint that you want to work with M2m and live with me?
