That's OK. My Mom told me to stay away from fast women. 

Free watermelon boxes from Costco!!!  I start chicks in a tub then go to the big box.  I put hardware cloth around the light and use wire to attach the hardware cloth and lamp to two pvc pipes.  I cut slits in the box with a knife and put the pipes through so they ft snugly and overhang so they won't drop through or move.  I also have some netting over one side, but when they actually seem close to escaping I'll put screen across the whole thing.  With ducklings I've used giant garbage bags or plastic sheeting as a lining for the whole box and then toss the whole mess and replace as needed.

My hatch is done!    Most exciting part...a splash showgirl!!    Also got some speckled sussex chicks in this batch, they are soooo cute. They look like little chipmunks running around.

Hello in Rogers City.  I love it up there.  My brother lives in Onaway.  I am here in the "no you cant have those chickens" Southeastern Michigan.  I have three hens who keep me supplied in yummy eggs.  I  hatched 5 eggs in my bator in Feb and March.  I believe 4 of them to be cockerls so they cant stay but the one hen will stay.  I hope to some day live where I can have 75 chickens and a Rooster too!    I love my chickens.

My mother abused* me with Vicks as a child, can't get near the stuff now without having a panic attack.  Did you all know it takes the burn right out of a sun burn?  It works like a charm, hubby would use it on every sunburn he ever gets, but I won't let him wear it to bed around me.  So it's sleep on the sofa, or suffer with sunburn.  

*And yes, by "abused" I mean she used it as directed.     Problem is, I can't breath when I get too hot.  Can't sit in hot tubs, don't drink hot drinks, etc.  She would always tell me to stop whining and cover back up and go to sleep.  At some point I'll probably require therapy for this and a host of other parental misgivings that weren't resolved in my first go 'round with the shrink.
