I'm not agreeing, but I'm not disagreeing.  I had 2 porcelain d'uccles and for the longest time I thought my roo was a girl because he took super long for his comb to develop.  He was the bottom of the 6 roo totem pole, though, so that could explain why it took so long.

Some of you may have remember that I had gotten a few Emu eggs, and one of my sister and I saw one of the eggs wiggle! Whoo Hoo!!! ya.gif It means that it is alive!!! Only 9 more days to go, as today is day 41!!! Today is day 27 on the other 3 eggs, past halfway now! th.gif

Once when Hope's sons were small I was cutting up a chicken and they were watching my every move.  When I cut off the tail and tossed it they wanted to know what it was.  I explained that was the very last part of a chicken's butt and while we didn't eat them it was edible.  They made faces exclaiming they would never eat that.  You should have seen their faces when I told them that McDonald's bought them from the big chicken processors and made McNuggets from them.

 

I'd like to welcome all the new folks and invite all of you to Chickenstock.  It's a great time to meet some wonderful folks and put faces to the names you come to know on this thread.  All of the pertinent information can be found at the link in my signature line.
